In Scott County, Muscatine County and Clinton County, Iowa, you can have the convenience of a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and experienced health care provider come to your home. As a pediatric nurse, Teresa has 42 years of pediatric nursing experience; 15 of those years as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP). After 16 years at the Visiting Nurse Association, providing care to newborns and children with various illnesses at home, Teresa wanted to become more involved in patient care and further her education.
Originally licensed as a Registered nurse in 1980, Teresa graduated from her undergraduate program at the University of Iowa with honors, received her Masters in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Iowa in 2009 and her Doctorate in Nursing (DNP) in 2012. Since graduating with her MSN and DNP, Teresa has cared for a wide variety of children aged birth to 21 at Community Health Centers in rural Iowa. Teresa has also been active in educating both nursing students and nurse practitioner students in the clinical setting.
As a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Teresa attends yearly conferences and is certified on a yearly basis in primary care.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a convenient alternative to health care when the need arises. There are many reasons a family may find it more convenient to have a home visit. Winter is an especially busy time in health care offices and convenient care centers, making it difficult to get an appointment or causing long wait times. You may prefer to wait in the comfort of your home rather than a busy waiting room; you may have difficulty finding child care for siblings when one child needs to be seen; or maybe you are in town visiting. Whatever the reason, it is our hope to make life a little easier for you when those common illnesses arise. Well visits are also available for those needing primary care. We do not provide vaccines, but will provide information on vaccine availability as needed. In addition to personal and convenient care, you will not wait days for a call back from the provider. Teresa handles her patient calls personally.
